Public Engagement Toolbox

The Mayor's Blog is the newest communication tool that I'm pleased to add to our Public Engagement toolbox. However, as with any tool, it's only going to be effective if it's used. I'm going to do my part. In order for this to work, there's going to need to be active public engagement.

Blogs will be informative and will address questions from the public regarding projects and community issues. So, please send your questions to my email address: mayor@mahomet-il.gov and watch for responses.

The Public Engagement Toolbox contains a number of communication tools for the public to use to access information relevant to daily activity in the Village of Mahomet.

The Village Website
Browse the Village website at mahomet.govoffice.com and access Village meeting agendas, minutes, and packets; important announcements; the Community Calendar; Village Ordinances; deparmental projects; and more.

The Mahomet Citizen
Village projects, events, and public notices are routinely published in the weekly, local newspaper, The Mahomet Citizen. Articles provide in-depth information on projects and issues that impact quality of life, economic development, recreation opportunities, and more. Public Hearing notices are published in order to alert and encourage constituents to voice their opinions on special projects and issues.

Village List Serve
Add your email address to the Village List Serve. Stay in-the-know while on-the-go by electronically receiving notices and announcements published via email. Sign up through the Village website.

Facebook and Twitter
Join us on Facebook and/or Twitter. Receive special leaf and brush pick-up announcements, road closings, meeting notices, weather notices, and more by following the routine and special announcements of life in the Village.
Spread the Word
Be sure and get the facts on Village projects and issues by contacting the Village Office and speak to a staff member. When your friends and neighbors ask "What's going on?" - we want you to have the facts. Just give us a call at 586.4456.

So - got a question? Just send me an email and I'll do my best to answer it. I look forward to hearing from you.
